NEWSFLASH:
DJ Book actually consents to spin records with the common folk!!!
The date was Wednesday, Sept 1, 2004 at Exit 23 Studios in Greenbelt, MD. BHE's mom had just prepared a feast in celebration of his birthday and while everyone was succombing to a serious outbreak of afrolepsy due to some bangin' ass fried chicken, CCCA operative Jamil Hamilton sensed that he could make a move.
His brilliant approach was to simply ask the ever reclusive Book to come play at the Honeycomb Hideout joint. Doesn't he know that other than mashing out sets on WPGC 95.5, this man never graces turntables anywhere else, preferring more to sit at home and accumulate more records that none of us have?
Book said "yes". Was it the chicken? We don't know and we don't care.
It's on.
